Our pricing structure ensures that both established organizations and small grassroots nonprofits have access to professional expertise. All fees are flat rate — no commissions, no percentage of award, ever. A signed Service Agreement is required before any consulting work begins.

Ongoing monthly service — grant pipeline development, compliance monitoring, reporting support, calendar management, and ongoing strategy. Minimum 12-month commitment. One quarterly check-in session included per year.

Clients who need additional flexibility may elect the following payment plan for the first month's retainer. Must be elected at signing and documented in the Service Agreement. Available at BRSS discretion.

| Location | Training is delivered at the client's location. Travel outside Berkeley County, SC may incur a mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard mileage rate. |
| Scheduling | Session 1 and Session 2 may be delivered the same day with a break between, or on separate dates. A minimum of one week between sessions is recommended to allow the committee time to absorb Session 1 before advancing to Session 2. |
| Snack Break | A 15 to 20 minute snack break is built into Session 1. The client is responsible for providing snacks and beverages for their committee members. |
| Committee Attendance | Training is designed for the full grant committee or board. A minimum of two committee members must be present for training to proceed as scheduled. |
Client Requirements — What We Ask of You
- Board or assigned grant committee must participate in internal planning and strategy meetings for each grant project
- Client is responsible for developing program ideas, narratives, and program budgets through their own planning process
- All draft materials must be submitted through the BRSS intake system for review and feedback
- Client must respond to BRSS feedback within agreed timelines to meet grant deadlines
- Participation in quarterly check-in sessions is required under all retainer agreements
- All budget figures must be verified with current local pricing before submission — no estimates accepted
- Client's annual operating budget determines the applicable rate tier — client must notify BRSS immediately if a budget change affects their tier designation
- A signed Service Agreement is required before any consulting work begins

| No Commission or Percentage Fees | BRSS does not charge a percentage of grant awards under any circumstances. All fees are flat rate only. This is the ethical standard of the grant consulting profession. |
| Client Funds | BRSS does not handle, manage, or have access to client grant funds at any time. We manage the consulting process — not the money. |
| No Guarantee of Award | No grant consultant can guarantee a grant award. BRSS guarantees professional, high-quality service and preparation on every engagement. |
| Payment for Services — Not Results | Fees are owed in full regardless of whether a grant application is approved, denied, or withdrawn. Payment is compensation for professional services rendered. |
| Late Payments | Payments not received within 15 days of the due date incur a 1.5% per month late fee on the outstanding balance. Services may be suspended on accounts more than 30 days past due until paid in full. |
| Rate Adjustments | All rates are subject to adjustment based on market conditions. Rates in effect at the time of contract signing are locked for the full term of that agreement. |
